Quick answer
How much does garden waste removal cost in Kent?
Garden waste clearance in Kent costs £85–£130 for a quarter load, £160–£210 for a half load and £280–£340 for a full van of green waste, all loaded by our crew. Soil, turf and rubble are heavier and priced separately from £120 per cubic yard because they are charged by weight at the transfer station.

Green waste is light and bulky, so most garden jobs are priced by van space rather than weight. Soil, turf, hardcore and rubble are the exception: they are dense, tip fees are weight-based, and a single cubic yard of wet soil weighs around 1.3 tonnes.
Clean green waste we collect in Kent goes to a licensed composting facility and returns as soil conditioner, so nothing organic reaches landfill.
What it costs
| Load / item | What it covers | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Quarter load green waste | 3 cubic yards — a hedge trim or small border clearance | £85 – £130 |
| Half load green waste | 6 cubic yards — a full garden tidy or lawn removal | £160 – £210 |
| Full load green waste | 12 cubic yards — overgrown garden reset | £280 – £340 |
| Soil and turf | Charged by weight at the transfer station | from £120 per cubic yard |
| Tree branches and logs | Cut to length, chipped or logged for reuse | from £140 |
| Shed dismantle and removal | Timber shed taken down, base cleared | £210 – £400 |
| Fence panels and decking | Treated timber separated from clean green waste | from £95 |

What moves the price
Green waste versus mixed garden waste
A load of pure hedge cuttings and grass goes straight to composting at a low gate fee. Once fence panels, plant pots, bags of rubble and old furniture are mixed in, the whole load is charged as mixed waste and the price rises.
Soil, turf and hardcore weigh everything else out
Inert material is charged per tonne. A van can be legally full at half its visual capacity, which is why soil and rubble are quoted by cubic yard rather than van space.
Access to the rear garden
Side access lets the crew barrow straight to the van. Where waste must be carried through the house, we bring floor protection and allow extra time.
Japanese knotweed and invasive species
Knotweed is controlled waste under the Environmental Protection Act and must go to a licensed landfill by a specialist. We will identify it and refer you rather than move it illegally.
Key takeaways

- Keep green waste separate from timber, plastics and rubble to keep the price down.
- Soil and turf are priced by weight, from £120 per cubic yard.
- Clean green waste is composted locally, not landfilled.
- Japanese knotweed needs a licensed specialist and cannot go in a normal load.
