What builders waste removal means
Builders waste removal is the collection of construction and demolition arisings — rubble, hardcore, plasterboard, timber, packaging and strip-out materials — from a live site or domestic renovation, with segregated recycling and duty-of-care documentation.
On a residential street in Kent a skip means a permit application to the district council, a wait, and a container you have to fill yourself. A wait-and-load crew or a booked collection means the waste is gone within the hour and the driveway is clear for the next trade.
We segregate as we load. Inert rubble goes for crushing into recycled aggregate, plasterboard goes to a dedicated gypsum recycler because it cannot be landfilled with biodegradable waste, and clean timber is chipped. That segregation is what keeps the recycling rate above 90%.
Key takeaways
- Priced by volume, with heavy inert loads priced by the tonne

What is included
- Hand-loading from inside the property or from the rear of a site
- Segregation of inert, gypsum, timber and metal fractions
- Sweep-down of the loading area and access route

What we can and cannot take
What we take
- Brick, block, concrete and hardcore
- Plasterboard and plaster (segregated)
- Timber, joinery offcuts and pallets
- Bathroom and kitchen strip-outs
- Insulation, packaging and site cabin waste
- Soil, spoil and excavation arisings
What we cannot take
- Asbestos insulation board, cement sheet or lagging — licensed removal only
- Contaminated soils without a prior WAC analysis
- Sealed drums of unidentified liquids
Plasterboard, hazardous waste and the site waste chain
Gypsum-based plasterboard cannot be landfilled with biodegradable waste because it generates hydrogen sulphide, so it must be separated at source. Any suspected asbestos-containing material must be surveyed before work begins under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012. Principal contractors should retain transfer notes for two years and hazardous consignment notes for three.
