Gym waste is bulky, heavy and awkward rather than high volume. A single treadmill weighs more than a room of household furniture, will not fit through a standard doorway assembled, and counts as WEEE once it is off the floor.
We work around your timetable, usually early morning or after the last class, and we dismantle in situ so nothing gets dragged across a sprung floor or a freshly laid rubber surface.
The problems gyms & leisure bring us
Equipment that cannot leave in one piece
Cross-trainers, multi-gyms and cable machines need stripping down before they clear a doorway or a lift. We bring the tools and the crew numbers to do it without damaging the floor or the frames.
WEEE obligations on powered kit
Anything with a motor or a console is electrical waste and needs a permitted WEEE route. We record it and issue the paperwork rather than putting it in a general load.
Members on the premises all day
Most sites cannot close. Collections run before 7am or after close, with protective boards over flooring on the carry route.
Refit debris under a fixed opening date
Rubber matting, mirrors, partition walls, reception joinery and old lockers all arrive at once at the end of a refit. We block-book the removal against your opening date.
